Welcome to Southill Drive. This is my website for organizing various projects of mine, art, and more. I am entirely new to HTML and CSS and all that so this may be slow going.

Anyways, right now I'm working on my hobby music video. It is taking my top priority on the art-front... That and artfight, hoo boy! Either way, it's a busy month. Hopefully in a week or two I'd have made progress enough on both of my other endeavors to focus my artistic passion here.
So, look out for whenever I do that.

For now, hey! I'm JP. Or, well, that's my online handle. It's unrelated to Nova Scotian musician Joel Plaskett- despite the evidence, it predates my intro to him. Sum fun facts about me are: I live in Ontario, I love 90s music but especially slacker rock (Pavement, Built to Spill), niche psychedelia (ask me about Dogbowl), and Can-rock (Canadian rock). I also play music. I've playing guitar for about 3 years now but I've been singing and playing various instruments my whole life.
I also draw a lot, evident by this site! All the stuff that looks like drawings on this website are illustrated by yours truly.

Journal Update, June 27th:

With Artfight approaching, I've been hard at work perfecting character biographies, reference sheets, and generally... Doing a lot of writing. I'm actually feeling quite refreshed about it all this year, as for the first time in 2+ years or so, I'm actually once again actively writing fiction. I took a brief sojourn into non-fiction for awhile, actually, wrote a couple essays for fun, and while I enjoy that it doesn't take over my mind quite like creating a bunch of little dudes in my head. I'm going to refrain from spoilers, but, I've been mainly working on developing the character of Mark Murphy, of which I will create a bio for under 'characters' (hopefully today). In his story I'm aiming to process some themes of technology, dialectical materialism and relationships that have been DVD-logo bouncing around my head recently. Lets hope my perfectionism doesn't bite me in the ass.
